Cogan & Mater Limited is a specialist publishing company dealing exclusively with books about beer - mainly Belgian beer right now but intending to expand. Our first book was LambicLand - a book in English and Dutch about the lambic beers of Brussels and Payottenland. In summer 2006 we followed up with Around Bruges in 80 Beers, the ultimate guide to drinking in one of the world's most beautiful beery cities. We are also the only site selling signed copies of the revised version of the fifth UK edition of Tim Webb’s Good Beer Guide to Belgium (published by CAMRA Books).

Tim was an original co-founder of the Campaign for Real Ale's first publishing company, Alma Books. Through www.booksaboutbeer.com we will aim to put the readers who are interested in buying books about beer in direct contact with the authors and small publishers that produce them. If you produce a top-rate beer guide we want to hear from you.

The British Guild of Beer Writers was formed in 1988 with the aim of promoting and increasing the profile of beer and brewing. For more information: www.beerwriters.co.uk
